Divorce can feel uncertain and overwhelming, especially when decisions involving children, property, and financial security must be made at the same time.
In this short video, William C. “Bill” Gentry explains the approach that has guided Gentry Law Firm since 1986: understanding each client’s unique circumstances, developing a thoughtful legal strategy, and helping families prepare for what comes next.
William C. “Bill” Gentry founded Gentry Law Firm in Marietta in 1986.
Over the decades, the firm has developed a reputation for helping clients through complex divorce, property division, child custody, support, and related family law matters with careful preparation, practical strategy, and compassion.
From our office near Marietta Square and the Cobb County Courthouse, our attorneys represent individuals and families throughout Cobb County and the surrounding Metro Atlanta communities.
Our attorneys have experience handling matters in Georgia trial and appellate courts, including the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals. Members of the firm have also practiced before federal courts in Georgia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Throughout the firm’s history, the goal has remained consistent: help clients understand their options, protect what matters, and prepare for the future.
Bill Gentry has practiced law in Georgia since 1986 and has held numerous leadership positions within the state’s legal profession.
In June 2026, he was installed as the 64th President of the State Bar of Georgia. Before becoming president, he served as president-elect, treasurer, and secretary. He has also served on the State Bar’s Executive Committee and Board of Governors and previously served as president of the Cobb County Bar Association.
