Georgia man jailed for interference with child custody

Child custody orders can be difficult to deal with, especially if you feel that they are unfair to you and your circumstances. Nobody likes to be told when they can and cannot see their children, but it's important to remember that custody orders are legally binding contracts. Disobeying custody orders is against the law and could have serious legal ramifications including fines or even jail time. This is why it's important to take your divorce case seriously and fight for the custody you deserve.

A Georgia man was recently placed in jail on charges of interference with child custody and kidnapping. According to the report, the man was ordered to place his children in the custody of social service workers in late August, but instead he took the children and disappeared. He later turned himself in.

It's understandable that a man would want to spend more time with his children, but breaking the law is not the way to go about it. In fact, actions such as this will make it even more difficult to maintain a meaningful relationship with your child. It's not a crime to be unhappy with your child custody arrangement, but there are legal alternatives. The last thing you want are serious legal consequences for trying to spend time with your children.

It's important to remember that child custody orders are not final. Child support and child custody can both be modified upon further review or if circumstances have changed significantly since the order was first placed. If you wish to spend more time with your children, meet with an attorney and find out why you received an unfavorable custody arrangement in the first place. It's possible that you can take steps to prove to the courts that you are more fit for parenting than you were before, giving you a way to legally spend more time with your children.
